Where to go in spring? Our TOP 7 in France
Whether you're looking for a vacation in summer, winter ... or spring, we've got the solution! With our establishments located in different regions of France, from west to east, you'll be sure to find hospitality, so you can discover unique places! And since, by reading this blog, you're already - somewhat - on vacation, we've taken care of everything and prepared our best selection for spring! So, let's take each other by the hand and go for it!
Tour of Southern France
Who hasn't dreamed of hitting the road, and going as far afield as possible, to discover, if only their own country and its riches, its sights ...? With this in mind, Cévéo makes life easier for you, and offers you the chance to travel around France this spring, with stopovers in each of its establishments.

A departure for Gironde ...
A mere hour from Bordeaux, Carcans is an ideal starting point. The Atlantic Ocean and its endless horizon on one side, an immense freshwater lake on the other, and the Landes-Girondine forest set the scene. The Arcachon Basin, Cap Ferret and the Dune du Pilat are yours for the taking! Sports enthusiasts can enjoy canoeing, kayaking or windsurfing, in a complete environment where you can also take advantage of the (rather flat) cycle paths and endless beaches, to let off steam without exhausting yourself. Finally, lovers of heritage and gastronomy can't help but be delighted; Nouvelle-Aquitaine abounds in small ports, fortifications, lighthouses... to unearth before enjoying oysters au gratin or cannelés!
.... and first stop on the Côte d'Argent
A good two-hour drive south, but still on the Atlantic coast, is Mimizan, the "pearl of the Côte d'Argent", and its river (the Courant). Ideal for a city break in its historic center, this village, typical of the Bòrn region, also boasts a highly-developed seaside resort. In a few words, you can get moving in the water (nautical activities, surfing ...) or in the countryside (numerous walks or bike rides ...), go out and eat before taking the road to the many typical villages of the region, which are just waiting to be visited!
Our establishment located 400 m. from the ocean welcomes you, on a rental or half-board basis, in comfortable, family-friendly accommodation!

Toy country as second stop ...
Located 1h30 from Mimizan and 1h50 from our next establishment, by car, Grenade-sur-l'Adour is a perfect transit point for the rest of your road trip; a stopover in this ancient fortified bastide is a must, as you descend, naturally, into the Pyrenees. On arrival: Luz-Saint-Sauveur. The former - and now distant - oceanic expanses as far as the eye can see give way to the great sites of the Pyrenees. Here, the term "col" or "pic" is used for the Tourmalet or the Midi de Bigorre. So it's not uncommon to come across altitudes approaching 2,000 m or 3,000 m. A change of air is guaranteed! There's so much to discover in this region, where Victor Hugo and Napoleon III stayed, including high-altitude hiking, invigorating gastronomy and cultural outings...
... then on to the Mediterranean
After discovering the valleys of the Lavedan, let's take the road a little further east, towards the Mediterranean. The old village of Gruissan awaits you, 300 km further on, south of Carcassonne and Narbonne, and after crossing the Haute-Garonne. A perfect destination in many ways, Gruissan has a rich history. The Crouzade cave, its medieval tower, its fishermen's houses ... bear witness to an ancestral activity in the Aude delta.
Today, this fishing village is a renowned seaside resort, for its port, its many beaches (Mateille, Grazel ...) ... and its famous chalets! It's great to breathe in the sea air as you stroll through Gruissan's lively little neighborhoods, or enjoy a jaunt by night to sample an ice cream on the terrace!

Fresh air in the mountains ...
There's nothing like a visit to the Massif Central for your first taste of the mountains. You've come to the right place! Head up towards Aubrac and the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park. The Lac Chambon estate, in the heart of an unspoilt, volcanic landscape, boasts direct access to one of the most beautiful lakes in the Puy-de-Dôme. Created by the Tartaret volcano, it extends over 60 ha, and a 3.5 km trail leads around it. Nearby, in addition to five magnificent French villages: the puy de Sancy, the Chaudefour valley, the puy de Dôme, Vulcania, Clermont-Ferrand ... so many great names suggesting an invigorating escape, natural and full of heritage or architectural surprises ... (not forgetting Truffade)!
... before tackling the Alps ...
After the high peaks of the Pyrenees, and a stopover in the Auvergne and its lush countryside, it's time to embark on the last mountainous leg of our journey. For this, we're heading for another nature park: in the Haut-Jura. Our destination? Bellefontaine, with its typical Jura environment. There's plenty of hiking on offer, including the Hérisson waterfalls and La Roche Devant. As for heritage, Château Chalon and Salins-les-Bains are well worth a visit! Last but not least, the more physically inclined can enjoy mountain biking or via ferrata in breathtaking scenery. Who knows... maybe you'll fall in love with this rural spot and plan a winter vacation there again? This season is packed with events not to be missed!

... and finish with simplicity
Serenity. That's the key word for this last stopover, which smells of spruce, waterfalls and lakes. That's why we chose Bois d'Amont. And also because it meets so many of our criteria, not to mention its proximity to the Franco-Swiss border.
This last - and very good - point allows us to extend our horizons and desires even further, in terms of travel and discovery of our world! Two magnificent "nature" resorts (including Les Rousses), high peaks, sumptuous villages ... for hikes and visits that will leave unforgettable memories. Extraordinary settings for the family, relaxation services (sauna, hammam ...), Bois d'Amont and our village club therefore have no shortage of assets to seduce you!
The journey quickly adds up: 1500 km, not including local travel. Obviously, you'll have to eliminate certain destinations, reverse the order ... in short, do as you please!
Discovering France is the dream of many of us. We hope that this tour of our country through its villages and riches has enabled you, at the very least, to escape for the time you're reading, and at best, to plan a road trip or future vacation in our Cévéo establishments!
