At Cévéo, we believe that a successful holiday can rhyme with respect for the environment, solidarity andlocal. Since the creation of Cévéo, we have placed sustainable development at the heart of our villages, convinced that responsible tourism is an essential lever for preserving our planet and enhancing the value of the territories.

Our mission is clear: to make each of our establishments an example of sustainable development in the tourism sector. This commitment is reflected in a series of actions implemented on a daily basis at all our sites

Responsible management of natural resources

To preserve the environment, we have implemented a policy of sustainable resource management. All our vacation villages are 100% powered by renewable energy. We ensure regular monitoring of water, energy and chemical consumption, to detect anomalies and adjust our practices in real time.

Our infrastructures are modernized to improve their energy efficiency: low-energy LED bulbs, heat pumps for swimming pools, controlled thermal regulation.... We have also done away with automatic watering and encourage the use of reclaimed rainwater for green spaces.

With regard to waste, we encourage selective sorting, the reduction of single-use packaging, the use of returnable glass containers, and composting. In catering, smaller plates and individual portions are offered to combat food waste. As for the cleaning products used, they are eco-labelled and ultra-concentrated to limit their environmental impact.

A strong commitment to social responsibility

The human is at the heart of our sustainable approach. We set up regular training sessions to raise awareness among all our employees of eco-gestures and the principles of sustainable tourism. These training times enable our teams to adopt good practices and pass on the right reflexes to our holidaymakers.

We also work for well-being at work, local employability and inclusion. Our recruitments favor profiles from local employment areas.

Our holidaymakers are also at the heart of our approach. We provide them with welcome booklets with good ecological practices, and inform them about the labels and certifications in place, including the European Ecolabel. At the welcome desk in each village, information on carpooling, public transport or even waste sorting options is available.

In a spirit of solidarity, we also give a second life to our used furniture or textiles via donations to associations.

Heritage enhancement and local roots

Cévéo is committed to making its villages relays of local heritage, by promoting partnerships with local artisans and producers. Our holidaymakers are invited to discover the cultural, natural and gastronomic riches of each region, with a view to local tourism.

We take care to integrate our establishments into their environment without distorting it, and to actively contribute to the economic revitalization of rural areas.

Accessibility for all

Sustainable tourism also involves enhanced accessibility. Cévéo takes action to make its vacation villages accessible to people with disabilities or reduced mobility, with specific facilities in accommodation, communal areas and access routes. We are committed to offering everyone the opportunity to enjoy inclusive holidays, without discrimination.

Certifications and partnerships for sustainable vacations

Our responsible approach is recognized by independent organizations. Six of our vacation villages are certified by the'European Ecolabel, a benchmark for sustainable tourism. This label issued by AFNOR attests to our environmental, social and economic commitment to sustainable, transparent and demanding tourism.
