Sports / Winter activities

Our Luz-Saint-Sauveur vacation village is close to the Luz-Ardiden ski resort. This resort offers many winter activities such as a slalom, snowpark and Freestyle and Cross&Woops courses. It also offers a Snowtubing area, for hurtling down the slopes in a buoy!

Of course, this resort is mainly access to downhill skiing, with 28 lift-equipped slopes for slide enthusiasts. For the little ones or the less experienced, you can train on the two beginners' areas, made up of toboggan runs, 4 green runs, a ski lift and carpets.

Finally, for those of you who prefer walking or who prefer to leave speed aside for the time of a stroll, the Luz-Ardiden resort also has a 5-kilometer trail to complete on foot or snowshoes!

Natural sites to visit

Just 30 minutes from Luz-Saint-Sauveur, you'll have access to the magical Cirque de Gavarnie. Between waterfalls, limestone rocks and basins, this succession of geological events forms a magnificent landscape that would defy some science-fiction movie shots! The Cirque de Gavarnie is a natural glacial cirque, so it's accessible in winter and no less attractive.

This region also boasts some very fine monuments. Man-made, they blend perfectly into the high Pyrenean landscape, like the Pont d'Espagne in the commune of Cauterets. In summer, the bridge offers a beautiful spectacle of greenery and watercourses, while in winter the greenery is covered in a white dress, but the waterfall remains as magical as ever.

Lac de Gaube

The Pont d'Espagne is accessible to walkers via the GR10 hiking trail in just over an hour. It can also be reached by chairlift in just 15 minutes.

From this beautiful setting offered by the Pont d'Espagne, you can also reach the Lac de Gaube by walking just over 2 kilometers. You'll be able to access this magnificent lake with its azure waters in summer, or its snowy landscapes in winter. The lake's backdrop is the Vignemale peak, the highest point in the Pyrenees on the border between Spain and France.
