One day, one hike in Gruissan!
The Spring season is approaching and our vacation villages in the South of France will soon be reopening. This is an opportunity to take a little trip to Gruissan, in the Aude department. This beautiful region abounding in all kinds of beautiful landscapes gave us an idea for an article: one day, one hike in Gruissan.

Day 1 - Etang du Doul
For this first day of hiking, we chose a well-known hiking spot in the region: the Etang du Doul. Indeed, walking around this pond is a great way to discover the beauty of the Aude region's landscapes. It's also a great way to get started, as it's accessible and suitable for all types of walker. The level of difficulty means that anyone can walk around this beautiful pond. You'll be finished after about 1h30 walking the 6.3 kilometers that surround the Doul pond. You'll pass through the pond and the Saline, which are separated by hills that offer beautiful views. This walk is a treat for camping enthusiasts, birdwatchers and, of course, hikers.
Day 2 - Etang de Gruissan
étang is ideal for a family outing, or for practicing running or hiking. You won't be disappointed by its views over Gruissan or the Tour de Barberousse, and by its lagoon style. You'll then be able to move along paths surrounded by water, for a walk that's quite singular from the region. In just over an hour and after covering 6 kilometers, you'll reach the end of your tour of the Etang de Gruissan.

Day 3 - Clos Sainte-Lucie
The Clos Sainte-Lucie walk is a small loop running along La Berre on one side and the Canal de la Robine on the other. It's also an easy hike, covering 7 kilometers and lasting around 2 hours. Again, the Aude scenery is represented by lagoons and landscapes surrounded by expanses of water. You can easily get a bit of height on the Roc Saint-Antoine and the Vigie for some very fine views.
Day 4 - Le gouffre de l'œil Doux
The Massif de la Clape is a famous spot around Gruissan. For our 3rd day of hiking, you'll have to pass through the Clape mountain to reach the famous Gouffre de l'œil doux. This highly unusual lake is overlooked by a high cliff. It offers a superb view of the Clape massif, as well as the sea in the background.
The Gouffre de l'œil Doux is the stuff of legends and speculation for the locals. For this reason, it becomes even more mysterious. Nature fans will also appreciate the diversity of flora and fauna on this territory.
This walk is a little more complicated by the distance involved, around 9 kilometers. It will take you around 2 hours, and the paths are particularly rocky.

Day 5 - Loop around Cap Leucate
To finish off this 5th day, we chose a hike a little further away from our vacation village of Gruissan. Mind you, it's still worth it!
This hike is on the heights of Leucate, far from the town of Port Leucate. Along the way, you'll come across vineyards, pastures and, above all, magnificent cliffs bordering the sea. A magnificent stroll with varied, restful and calm landscapes to end these five days of hiking.
You'll walk a good two hours before finishing the loop of this 9-kilometer circuit.
