The surrounding area boasts an extensive network of trails, some 279 km in length, which wind through fir forests, valleys and snow-capped mountains, offering sublime panoramas. From Bois d'Amont, it's possible to reach Bellefontaine, via the Risoux but also the villages of the station des Rousses, skirting the forest of Noirmont. These two links are also possible on snowshoes, and allow you to follow the itinerary of the Grande Traversée du Jura.
The Nordic ski trails at Bois d'Amont are suitable for all levels. Beginners can take up cross-country skiing on easier routes, while more experienced skiers can venture out on longer, more technical circuits. And for the more adventurous, there are three not-to-be-missed Nordic events in the Jura. What's more, from the village center, it's possible for the little ones to make their first tracks thanks to the Marmousets recreational area. An enclosed, secure area gives them the chance to try their hand at sliding, or have fun on the toboggan run.
