Arts Nature" Horizons in the Sancy
Every year, not far from the Domaine du Lac campsite, the Horizons "Arts Nature" event in Sancy attracts artists, art lovers and nature enthusiasts from all over the world to the mountains of France's Massif Central. The 2023 edition of this long-awaited event promises to be even more captivating and immersive than ever. For several weeks, visitors will have the chance to discover ephemeral art installations, specially created to blend in with the region's breathtaking natural landscape. Horizons "Arts Nature" in Sancy 2023 offers a unique experience where art and nature blend to inspire, reflect and amaze.

Works of art that merge with nature
The guest artists work in collaboration with the Sancy landscapes to create installations that blend seamlessly into the surrounding nature. From monumental sculptures to more subtle creations, each work is designed to blend into its natural setting.
For example, some installations may appear to merge with the surrounding trees, using natural materials such as branches or leaves. Other installations explore the elements of water and fire, captivating visitors with plays of light and reflections.
Nature itself is also a source of inspiration for many of the artists taking part in the event. Some use natural elements such as stones, wood or plants to create sculptures, while others use innovative techniques to reflect the beauty of the local environment.
A festival of the senses
Horizons "Arts Nature" in Sancy 2023 offers an artistic experience that goes beyond mere observation. Visitors are invited to interact with the installations, touching, feeling and exploring the artworks in an immersive way. This unique experience allows visitors to connect more deeply with nature and appreciate the artists' creativity in a different way.
In addition to the art installations, the festival also features a series of events and activities, such as live performances, creative workshops and lectures on art and nature. Visitors can take part in guided walks to discover the installations scattered across the spectacular landscapes of the Sancy, or simply wander freely and explore at their own pace.

Horizons "Arts Nature" en Sancy 2023 is much more than just an arts festival. It's a place where art and nature come together to stimulate thought, encourage environmental preservation and inspire creativity. The artworks presented offer a unique opportunity to rethink our relationship with nature and explore current environmental issues.
To illustrate the event, we've chosen to take as an example the work of Riccardo Buonafede, exhibited at the Cascade de Saillant about ten minutes from Murol. Riccardo Buonafede is an Italian painter, sculptor and mural artist who is taking part in this 2023 edition of Horizons "Arts Nature" with his work (above) entitled RUINE. With this sculpture inspired by ancient ruins, the artist evokes the lost links between nature and Man, reminding us that remains are a way of connecting with it.
You can therefore find this work at the Cascade de Saillant, its exhibition venue, and discover the work of Riccardo Buonafede through his website.
